Caroline Roca

Intro

Caroline Roca joined the Norwegian National Ballet as an apprentice from 2002–2004, and has been a member of the company ever since.

As well as solo roles in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Forsythe's Workwithinwork, she has danced in works such as Kylián's Falling Angels,  Sechs Tänze, and Symphony of Psalms, Forsythe's Limb's Theorem Enemy in the Figure og One Flat Thing, reproduced,as well as Ekman's Rooms and A Swan Lake.

Roles have been created for her in Bjørnsgaard's A Modern Place, Johannessen's Welcome Home, Espejord's Over the head beneath the skin and Met the Wall?, and Støvind's Partita for Him and Her and While I Looked the Other Way and Thought of Something Else.

In 2003 Roca won the Norwegian Eurovision Young Dancer Competition, and Pascal Touzeau created the solo Afraid of Beauty for her. She studied at the Norwegian National Ballet School at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet and at the School of the Hamburg Ballet.
