Francesca Golfetto

Intro

Originally from Italy, Francesca Golfetto joined The Norwegian National Ballet in autumn 2009, and has since then danced roles such as Clara in The Nutcracker and Singing Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. She has danced in Kylián's Symphony of Psalms, several ballets by Balanchine and in Tetley's Voluntaries and The Rite of Spring. Francesca Golfetto had a key role in Strømgren's Suite, and danced the role of Stella in Neumeier's A Streetcar Named Desire. She has also danced in Spuck's Woyzeck, Strømgren's The Wake and Støvind's Is-slottet.

After training in Milan, Golfetto joined the Royal Ballet School in London, dancing in several productions with the Royal Ballet during her studies. She joined the Zürich Ballet in 2007, where she danced in choreographies by Forsythe as well as dancing solo parts in ballets by Spoerli and Portugal.
