    Claudia Lucia Lamanna

    In spite of her young age, she has already achieved successes and rewards in national and international contests in Italy and abroad, receiving numerous first prizes, special prizes of music criticism and scholarships. Among the many competitions, she won the Fifth Prize at one of the largest harp competitions in the world today, the “10th USA International Harp Competition” in Bloomington, Indiana, where she also received the “Zaniboni Prize”, given to the highest ranked Italian contestant of the competition. She also won the First Prize at the “Premio Claudio Abbado – XI edition of the Premio Nazionale delle Arti”, established by the MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research) and held in Turin, Italy; the Second Prize at the “harpACademy International Harp Competition” in Sandstedt, Germany; the Second Prize “à l'Unanimité”, in the “Excellence” section, at the “Concours Francais de la Harpe”, held in Limoges, France; the First Prize at the “Thailand International Harp Festival and Youth Competition”, held in Bangkok, as well as the Trophy offered by Her Royal Highness the Queen of Thailand; the First Prize, as well as the harp offered as a prize, at the “Giovani Arpisti in Concerto”, held in Milan, Italy. Moreover, she won the Scholarship “Orazio Fiume”, an award established every two years by the Fiume family, to honor the memory of the Italian composer, and the Scholarship “Valter Cococcia”, that rewards the youngest and best graduate in the Italian Conservatories every year.

    Claudia gives several concerts both as soloist and in harp ensembles, chamber music and orchestra in several places around the world. She performed in prestigious venues, as “Palazzina Liberty” in Milan, “Sala Baldini” in Rome, “Sala delle Muse” of the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, “Lindemansalen” and “Levinsalen” of the Norges Musikkhøgskole in Oslo, “Opera Balcony” of the Oslo Opera House, the Auditorium of the Nasjonalgalleriet in Oslo, “Auer Hall” of the Indiana University in Bloomington, “Art and Culture Hall” of the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, “Merkin Concert Hall” in New York, and many others. She was invited to give recitals in Ancenis, France, during the final evening of the “Festival International de harpe” in 2012, where Claudia shared a concert with Isabelle Moretti; in Caernarfon, Wales, at the “Wales International Harp Festival” in 2014; and in Bangkok, Thailand, as winner of the second edition of the “Thailand International Harp Festival and Youth Competition” in 2016. She also performed in Canada and Australia at the “World Harp Congress”, held in Vancouver and Sydney. On both occasions, Claudia was the only Italian to participate in the “Focus on Youth” concert serie. In chamber music group, she was on tour in Monopoli, L'Aquila, Rome and Naples, invited by the “Istituto Nazionale per lo Sviluppo Musicale nel Mezzogiorno” (“ISMEZ”). She performed the “Concerto KV 299 for Flute, Harp and Orchestra” by W. A. Mozart, at only 15 years old; the “Concerto in B flat major for Harp and Orchestra” by G. F. Händel/M. Grandjany; the “Concerto for Harp and Orchestra, Op. 25” by Alberto Ginastera with the Norges Musikkhøgskole Symfoniorkester of Oslo, led by Ernest Martínez Izquierdo. She has collaborated, as Principal Harpist, with various Italian orchestras, the Orchestra of the Norges Musikkhøgskole of Oslo, the Oslo Camerata, the Oslo Kammerorkester. She has recorded, as a member of the “Orchestra Italiana di Arpe”, the CD “Poker per 50 arpe” and, in chamber music group, for the television broadcaster Tv2000.

    Repeatedly interviewed by the local press, she has also appeared on the renowned US magazines “World Harp Congress Review” and “Harp Column”, on the French newspaper “Ouest France”, on the online magazine “Harpblog”, on the Italian periodical “NelMese” and newspaper “La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno”. Moreover, she performed frequently for national (“RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana” – “Rai 1” and “Rai 3”) and private television channels (“Puglia Channel”, “Canale 7”, “Telenorba”). She has also appeared on “France 3” and she was interviewed by the Chinese broadcaster “Xinhua News Agency” and by radio stations, the Italian “Idea Radio” and the Australian “SBS radio”. 

    Claudia graduated in harp at only 15 years old with maximum honors “cum laude” at the Conservatory of Music “Nino Rota” of Monopoli, Italy, where she achieved, at 17 years old, the “Second-cycle Academic Degree in Harp Solo” (Master Degree) with maximum honors “cum laude” and Honorable Mention, resulting, therefore, the youngest graduate of Italy. She is further improved her musical studies through the project “Erasmus”, with Jana Boušková, at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Brussels, Belgium. In addition, she took part in masterclasses with Bernard Andrès, Jana Boušková, Gabriella Dall'Olio, Elisabeth Fontan-Binoche, Alice Giles, Andrew Lawrence-King, Isabelle Moretti, Isabelle Perrin, Luisa Prandina, Florence Sitruk, Caryl Thomas and Karen Vaughan.

    She is currently studying with Isabelle Perrin, after having brilliantly passed the hard selections for admission to the “Artist Diploma” (Master Program) at the Norges musikkhøgskole (Norwegian Academy of Music) of Oslo, Norway.

    Marina Kan Selvik

    Marina begynte å spille piano da hun var 6 år gammel og fullførte deretter den berømte Central Music School i Moskva. Hun fortsatte studiene ved Tchaikovsky-konservatoriet med høyeste karakter i samtlige disipliner med lærer professor Alexander Mndoyants. Marina tok deretter mastergrad i klaver ved Norges Musikkhøyskole med professor Jens Harald Bratlie, Liv Glaser og Tore Dingstad som lærere. Hun har også "Artist diploma" fra Coimbra, Portugal med professor Aquiles Delle Vigne som lærer.

    Hun gjorde sin første solokonsert med symfoniorkester da hun var 7 år og har siden gitt solokonserter og spilt med orkestre i mer enn 20 land, bl.a. Armenia, Danmark, Finland, Frankrike, Italia, Japan, Jersey, Litauen, Norge, Portugal, Russland, Spania, Storbritannia, Sverige og Tyskland. Marina var solist med St.Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra (dir Alexander Titov) sin suksessfulle turne i Russland, Finland og Norge og fikk storartede kritikker. Hun vant prøvespill for å være solist med Trondheim Symfoniorkester (Rachmaninov Klaverkonsert nr 3 med dir. Lars Thomas Holm) og Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester (Prokofiev Klaverkonsert nr 2 med dir Rory MacDonald). Bergens Tidendes anmelder skrev bl.a.: "Marina demonstrerer en fantastisk musikalitet kombinert med fenomenale tekniske ferdigheter". Da Marina fremførte Rachmaninovs 3.klaverkonsert på Vestlandsk Sommersymfoni i Nordfjordeid sommeren 2016 (dirigent Halldis Rønning), benyttet kritikerne ord som verdensklasse om hennes prestasjon. Hun har gitt en rekke konserter ved Edvard Grieg-museum Troldhaugen i Bergen med stor respons og er invitert tilbake som ukens pianist i juli 2017.

    Marina er vinner av mange internasjonale konkurranser, og i 2016 ble hun prisvinner i alle fire konkurransene hun deltok i: Mayennes (Frankrike), Murcia (Spania), Val Tidone (Italia) og Hannover (Tyskland). Marina har tidligere vunnet Nordic Piano Competition i Malmø og gikk helt til topps i den internasjonale konkurransen "Klavierpodium" i München. Marina var i desember 2016 i Spania og fremførte Beethovens 5.klaverkonsert på en julekonsert som ble overført på spansk radio og TV. I januar 2017 var Marina solist med Kringkastingsorkesteret på Aftenpostens Nyttårskonsert i Oslo Konserthus.
