Cristiane Sá


Cristiane Sá was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She studied at the Ballet Dalal Achcar, Rio de Janeiro, Briansky Saratoga Ballet Center, New York and London Studio Centre, London.

Cristiane Sá joined the Norwegian National Ballet in 2000, and here she has danced one of the prostitutes in Cranko's The Taming of the Shrew.

She has danced prominent solo parts in Bjørnsgaard's Standard Arabesque*, Balanchine's Agon and The Four Temperaments, Kylián's Bella Figura, Six Dances, Wings of Wax and 27‘52‘‘, Welch‘s Maninyas, Lee's Fractured Wake, Elo's Cut to Drive*, Boyadjiev's Open for Discussion* and Lost in Time*,  Bjørn's The Nutcracker, Petipa's Sleeping Beauty, Espejord's Title?*, Nureyev's Don Quixote, Duato's Arcangelo and in the divertissement in Die Fledermaus.
