Masterly interplay between violin and piano
Eldbjørg Hemsing is one of Norway's foremost violinists, and has been well-known since making her solo debut with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of eleven. She will be performing in the Second House alongside pianist Simon Trpčeski.
After studying in Vienna, Hemsing has gained increasing attention on both the national and international stages. Her repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Dvořák, Grieg to Tan Dun, and she has also collaborated with Tan Dun on numerous projects.
Macedonian pianist Simon Trpčeski plays regularly with some of the world's foremost orchestras, and has worked with conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Antonio Pappano, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Gustavo Dudamel. He has also performed solo recitals in New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
