Ingun Bjørnsgaard: New work
Under the skin of Ibsen's female characters
Enjoy a new dance work about the hidden aspects of some of Ibsen's female figures. Two of the most prominent figures in the Norwegian performing arts, choreographer Ingun Bjørnsgaard and dancer Camilla Spidsøe, delve into the driving forces behind some of Ibsen's iconic women – and turn them into dance. Are these feminine qualities, or simply human ones?
Ingun Bjørnsgaard is one of our most renowned, experienced choreographers, and can always be relied on to create a unique, fascinating on-stage universe. She has previously created various performances based on Ibsen's dramas, including Hedda for Ballet de Lorraine and Rotating Nora for Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt.
Camilla Spidsøe made an indelible impression as Mrs Alving in Ibsen's Ghosts by Marit Moum Aune and Cina Espejord. She is one of Norway's foremost dancers, with extensive experience with both Carte Blanche and the Norwegian National Ballet. She performs here alongside dancers from the Norwegian National Ballet.
